My Inspiration

My name is Tammy Himsl and I am the owner and operator of Bear Essential Dog Care, which is based out of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.

Dogs in all shapes and sizes have been with me for as long as I can remember. I have always had a love for them, but one especially had a huge impact in my life. That is how this business was created in the memory of my dog Bear.

After taking ill and going back and forth to the vets and doing everything we possible could, he passed away suddenly in my arms in the middle of the night.

After going through that experience it inspired me to get my pet first aid certificate, my grooming certificate and then my business certificate.

I started as a pet walker and realized that many dogs don't get a lot of the necessary grooming or exercise due to the pet parent having an illness, no transportation or having very busy schedules. So I wanted to provide both exercise and the convenience of mobile grooming to all pet parents.

As humans we go to the gyms and spas to give our body the care it needs. Why not give that luxury to our furry friend(s)? However, instead of them going there, we give you the convenience of us coming to you. My goal is to give your dog a one-on-one relaxing experience of being groomed and exercised because after all...
